where is best place to buy RAM for my 2GB mini?

I see mention above posts well newer post mentioning OWC...Yall got the direct link so I don't get the wrong site. Saw some on Ebay. My mini box says 2010... I bought in new back in 2010 or 2011 I think
my mini booklet says can upgrade to 8GB. I use an old Win keyboard with
I don't use it much.. but can't get lots of stuff to wrk on it w/o using Firefox.....
I feel I can do it myself as I have been messing with old Windows machines of my own.plus read about it on here this forum etc
Can I buy it from aAPPLE itself thru the mail as I'm in semi rural area? Please explain pro and cons.
I presently use a used MacBook Pro 2012 laptop. Which I hate the keyboard on "no back or home key."

The 2010 Mac Mini can take up to 16gbs of ram. Drop an SSD in it while you're at it.

Main reason I want more memory so I can upgrade software it won't lt me even put El Captaine on it.so tint that the reason it won't take El Captain. Apple support guy said maybe they could force El Captaine on it. But rather do it myself cause far from an Apple Store or repair etc.and have to make an appt.
BUT NO one addressed the part about an Apple store or thru the Apple Store thru MAIL...having the memory

You can believe in most, if not all users in this forum who try to help you.
Like the previous user said, your mini can take 16 GB. At the time, it could take 8 GB, but later, with an update it became possible to use 16 GB. Apple just never confirmed that, but there are many users who upgraded to 16GB without any problem.
An SSD upgrade is highly recommended. Your mini will take up to High Sierra.

Thanks for clarifying... To the OP: do a search on MRumors and you will see our old posts about which ram chips to buy for the 2010 Mac Mini and the comparable/identically spec'ed 2010 MacBook Pro 13"... BOTH machines take 16gbs of ram.

Mushkin made the best ram for the 2010 Mac Mini back in the day, but I'm sure more modern firmware and OS updates make most Apple compatible ram chips that can be used.

Do a search on this site... you'll find numerous threads as to the best ram for the 2010 Mac Mini/2010 13" MBP

well I ordered from OWC other nite. I talked to a rep there and she said my model was made in 2010..i bought two 8 GB from them ....I told her the serial number etc. I did do. a search several days ago...

I hope it works out for you. I recently sold a 2010 and yes it runs nicely with 16gb ram and a ssd. The core 2 duo processor isn’t as bad as people may think.
