In the same alternate universe most of the rumor sites get their information from. The release of 10.5 effectively negates the possibility of 10.4.11, 12 or 13

Crap.

Most likely we'll see the 10.4.11 release on Friday, as the final update before Leopard. The same happened with Jaguar and Panther before, its Apple's MO to release a final point release of their OS before a major upgrade, and of course they'll continue to release security patches for their older OSes.

Apple doesn't just stop updating an OS because a new one came out. There are plenty of users who will be on Tiger for a while yet, so they need to support them (and will).

Only Apple really knows, but my guess is that it'll be out pretty soon. Apple may even be holding it back a few days so that it doesn't clash with the Leopard launch...

I don't know... I'm guessing there'll be issues with networking that'll need to be ironed out when it goes into the wild.

Well see it, Apple is going to continue updating 10.4 until 10.6 is released.

The last 10.3 update was in July.

It was one of the things they got shamed into doing, especially when it came to security updates.

We might not see .xx released, but there will be fixes and security tweaks coming down the line.

Okay. As necessary upgrades to older machines. This makes sense to me.
