State sources if possible and thank you for "humoring" my post. :)

He's just messing with you because of your intelligent post and well thought out questions. The Mac Pro isn't made in China, that's way over there in another country, they are built on an assembly-line running out of Steve Jobs' garage.

The second part of your question is tougher, while the Mac Pro was originally designed to be used by professional midget wrestlers, in the 21st century the rules of been relaxed and really anybody with enough money to buy one, is allowed to own a Mac Pro. Even you.

Cheers.

Nu-uh!

The Mac Pro was designed for magical Gnomes! Unfortunately they travel so much that the MBP had to be invented. The MP was then marketed as a flea circus, but the fans were too excited and killed the fleas. Now the MP is sold to consumers, who do not know that the MP functions better when connected to a ferris wheel while wearing a pointy hat!

(sorry for the terrible pun in the middle :p)

Illegalization of dwarf tossing almost broke Apple's back.

All that's left from this era is a lower case i as indication to tossable devices . ;)

Grasshopper, answers to your questions

It is made by retired NASA engineers, hence the expense.

It is made for people who missed the incredible value that an iMac provides.

It's an interesting question where the different components might be made and where the final assembly points are. Also of interest might be Apple's motivation for creating it. Apple software creation? Video/Movie work? Photo processing?

Sorry you've been treated so badly hear by some of the (unfortunate) members. They're more interested in ordering video cards that aren't available or converting PC video cards that aren't supposed to run on a Mac TO run on a Mac.

A little Mac Pro history or logistics? No thanks, when is my 5870 gonna get here?
