It's 1:20 pm on the US east coast, and no sign of Monterey yet. Nothing in the App Store and no updates in System Pref. Apple's website still simply says "Available 10.25". Has anyone had luck getting it so far?

Agreed. I know it was just an "estimate", but given the months of testing I thought it would be ready to go.
they're probably staggering the rollout, so it's not everyone downloading at one single moment...
Right. MacRumors' Front Page just posted an article about the rollout, and it appears that most people still can't access it. I guess I'll just be patient....
I'm not even being offered the Big Sur update yet. I'm not going to bother with that one; I'll just wait for Monterey.
go to apple‘s product page on the App Store and you will see it ready to download the full installer. This is the old school method we used to use before and some people forgot and new people don’t know about it.
I'm on the left coast. Have updated iphones, ipad, watch but no Monterey (yet) for computers

You can just quit the installer after downloading. The full installer will be in the Applications folder. I just did that.
