I got myself a new iPhone 8 and an Apple Watch.

I restored from my old iPhone 5s to the 8 via iTunes. The restore naturally had the 5s account.
The apple account I want to use now on my iPhone 8 is different from the account that I was using in the 5s.

I went through FaceTime, iCloud, Apple Store updating my login email to the new account.
I am now trying to pair my Apple Watch with my 8, but every time it asks me to enter the password, it is displaying the old account email (the one in the 5s).

I have looked in all the settings that I can think of within the 8, and I have the new account email address everywhere.

What am I overlooking?
How do I pair my watch with my 8 using the new account instead of the 5s account?

AFAIK, there is NO IP5 S iTunes account. Only an iTunes account. You can have several iTunes accounts AFAIK, I currrent have 3 of them.

Did you deactivate "find my iPhone" before backing up for restore?
I had not deactivated the iPhone 5s find my iPhone beore backing it up. The 8 requires the find my iPhone feature be disabled, in order to restore.

I'm sorry. I may have failed to make myself clear. For the 5s, I was using one account. For the 8, I want to use a another account

I have had similar issues before (I don't have an Apple Watch but the old id popping up here and there if I did not disable it before backup). But there could of course be other places as well where the id is kept in the restore. Now I prefer to not restore on a new device, but rather set it up manually again.

Set the phone up as new and call it a day?
