Just trying to diagnose a problem here... and is it possible that the battery could make a high pitch humming sound?

The battery is located here (bottom of pic) under the trackpad/palm rests:

I mean like is it underneath the keyboard or the trackpad or...?

Under the trackpad, and out to the left edge of the computer (if you're sitting at it using it). Batteries don't really make noise, even when faulty. More likely, you're hearing a fan, drive, or other component.

Oh okay thank you.
