Where is the Desktop Pictures folder?

Why can I not find this thing?! It used to be easy (Library > Desktop Pictures) but the old location doesn't exist anymore. It is strange that I can't find a single mention of the folder's new location online either. TIA.

Still exists for me. Are you sure you’re in the right library? You should look in Macintosh HD > Library.

Yes, you can choose a solid colour instead of a picture from System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Desktop.
