It's in the Preferences folder and it's named com.apple.finder.plist - Spotlight should pick it up. Make sure you restart Finder (maybe restart the whole machine) after moving it though. :)

If this doesn't work, tell us what exactly Finder is doing and whether you have any theme changers installed. :cool:

First of all, just move it to the Desktop, rather than trashing it.

Second, it's called com.apple.finder.plist and it's located in /users/<username>/library/preferences/

Edit: Damn it madjew, I'm just getting started this morning and the Aussies are at top speed. Patently unfair.

Good point gauchogolfer, moving these files out of that folder has the same effect as deleting them but without the risk of losing them forever. This is good for complicated preference files (apps with lots of customised preferences) because if removing the PLIST doesn't help, you can put the file back and retain your old settings. :)
