May be a stupid question, but where is the IR port on the ATV2? I am attempting to hook up a universal logitech remote to it, and I have little IR relays that stick to the IR ports of devices so I can use the remote in other rooms. Essentially it allows devices that are IR only to work over RF.

I tried locating the IR port on the device using its remote, but it was responding to button clicks even when the remote was pressed to the top of the device.

Looking at the iFixit teardown, find the center of the front face and then move about 10mm towards the status light.

I believe the Logitech you are speaking of converts the RF to IR through a local blaster near your devices. And, IR signals bounce off of walls and other surfaces (including you) -- so this is somewhat expected depending how large the room is that you are in and where the surfaces are around the box. Is this causing a problem? The ATV2 should only react to its own signals...

I have the Logitech IR extender and only use the main blaster in a small closet to cover 4-5 boxes including the ATV2 with no issues.
