The Wi-Fi antennae are in the black plastic hinge on the unibody, they grey plastic on the Air. It used to be in plastic strips during Powerbook days

Yup 2 years ago and STILL no conclusive proof either way. As I said, hardly reassuring.

So, "we dont have any info" is suddenly "OMG ITS SO DANGEROUS!?". Seriously, dont worry about it, wifi barely accounts for a blip of the daily radiation we all, and our boys, get every day.

What was the point of this thread? you asked two totally unrelated questions.
Why did you want to know where the antenna is located?

Thanks. Someone had told me it was in the lid.

They used to be on older models. Though I really doubt the radiation levels are drastically different from the hinge or from being in the lid. Its kind of a pointless question really.

I agree that no evidence does not mean wifi close or not is bad for us.

My concern isn't that wifi is going to damage the boys or swimmers by itself...but I am wondering how all the wifi, cell/microwave, and other wireless/radio and other technologies that we have yet to discover and use are going to be flying through the air and might have a cumulative effect somehow that we don't know yet. NOt that they are bad, but I am just doing what my father taught me- everything in moderation. The problem is we may never really know what effect all these radiation filled items/activities have on our bodies due to the complexity of the issue and the various ways people can be subjected to things such a radiation.

Me- I choose myself not to subject myself to radiation when I don't have to and have other options. I do stand away from microwaves when running, especially really old ones with bad seals, I make doubly sure that the boys are covered in the dentist and Dr. offices, I try to use my bluetooth more than direct cell phone next to my head, and I try not to have the laptop next to the boys but instead choose to use a laptop pad.

Sorry about stirring up a shamwow thread-
