Where is your dock?

Could I please ask where do people keep their docks (bottom, left or right).

Please pick one as it is a part of a bigger project my group and I are researching at University about the use of Macs 🙂

For many years it was on the left, then over the course of a couple of OS X releases a) the vertical Dock became uglier, and b) the horizontal Dock became prettier.

I'd much rather have the user-configurable Apple Menu back, though...

It's on the left for me. That way I could see the full page of the word document when I work. Plus it's way better to view websites.

I set it to never appear unless I press the keyboard shortcut. In particular, my Dock does not show up on mouse-over.

On the first week I used on the left. Then I tought: "ok, let's try on the bottom like everyone". So, my mac has 3 weeks and I use at the bottom, very tiny, and not hidden.
