I have decided to keep my old macbook pro and upgrade the hard drive rather than buy a new macbook. Where is a good place to buy a bigger hard drive to replace the small 80 gb hard drive. I would like to buy one in a kit with the enclosure. Also should I buy a 7200 rpm drive or 5400 rpm drive. What are the pro's and con's. Also should I get one that transfers buy firewire or usb.
any help would be great.:apple:

Have you considered upgrading your MacBook Pro's internal hard drive? Samsung makes a 5400 RPM, 500 GB, 2.5" internal hard drive: the Spinpoint M6 HM500LI.

Currently, SuperMediaStore.com is selling these hard drives for $98.99 plus shipping:

You can have the hard drive installed by hiring a consultant from consultants.apple.com, or the Best Buy Geek Squad can perform the upgrade.

Some confusion here. The title states internal and in the body you talk of external.
