Hey all,

I'd like to give a second life to my iphone 3GS by getting a new battery and rear case. However, I can't find a good replacement rear case as most of them look like cheap Asian ripoffs.

Do you know a website on which I could get an official iphone 3GS rear case, or at least a very good quality one ?

Thanks for the help :)

The back of the iPhone 3G/3GS is crazy hard to replace.

You could try to get a new back for ~$25 and a new battery for ~$25, or you could have Apple swap out your 3GS with a refurb that has a new battery for ~$79.

A couple of thoughts:

First, perhaps a water damaged yet mint 3GS and pirate those part(s) you need. They go cheap on eBay.
Second, Sell your 3GS and use the proceeds to partially purchase a mint, near new 3GS on eBay.
