I've never found the oleophobic stuff to work very well. If smudges are your primary reason for getting the protector, you'll unfortunately be disappointed.
The Belkin TemperedCurve is brilliant at repelling smudges. I don't have any other glass protectors to compare it to though.

The alignment tray it comes with however missed the mark - the tape that acts as the hinge wasn't set right & it ended up fitting the screen a few mm higher than it should have.

Go to Amazon, search on Tethys screen protector. Buy it and do it yourself. Paying 30-50 dollars for someone else to do what you can easily do yourself is nuts. You put the included guide down on the phone and then the screen protector fits over it perfectly. And if you somehow manage to screw it up, they give you 2 additional screen protectors just in case. For 9 dollars.

Sorry for the confusion ... the $5 fee is a service charge for installation. I do not have to spend another $40 for another protector. I would sooner have them put it on. In the past, whenever I have tried, I have always always always messed it up and ended up having to get a new protector.

the apple store is good, easy but expensive. The purger one (what is on my max now) is also good and easy. It adhered well and came with a tray for ease
