I have a new SR MacBook, just finished installing 4GB RAM, and Boot Camp from the installation disk, with a partion on my drive that boot camp set up.

I have a copy of Parallels on the way, as well as a full retail copy of Windows XP SP2. I will be installing MS Office - also a full retail version.

After reading some discussion about having to reactivate software, is it best to install Windows and Office under parallels rather than using boot camp at all? I do not intend to play any games, but mostly an occasional office file as this is currently my secondary computer.

Is boot camp even necessary and should I rethink this whole scheme?

boot camp is not necessary.. if you're using windows just for office you might want to go vm only
