So I have AirPods Max 1 (lightning) and I just don’t really like lugging them around when flying. I’ve maybe used them a dozen times. I’ve done some casual searches online, but figured this forum might have better advice. Anyone know where to get rid of them at decent value?

I don’t know. I figure people on here would be able to tell me “I got my best value at ….”.
From what I understand eBay has gone more towards the pro shops. Wasn’t sure if it was worth listing there.

I would just hold onto it and use it until it falls apart. If you try to sell it you are not going to get the value you expected.
Facebook Marketplace is the best place. Pricing is important, if you price it below what everyone is posting then it should go pretty fast. It blows my mind when people price things almost retail for used items.

Then add the scammers who try to steal you stuff. eBay always defends them so you lose your items and the money!
