TM covers the ETF that I have to pay to ATT. TM does NOT cover the difference of 299 for subsidized 64gb 6s+ which would retail for 849. a difference of $550 x2 lines =1100-45ea for UG fee = ATT losing 1010$. I pay 345 each, total of $690, sell them for lets say 775 each (again, new unopened, tax free, retails of 849), so that is 1550$-690 cost =$860 profit.
So I make $860. That basically covers one 64gb 6s+ from TMO, so now I just have to buy a second one with them, at full price, or I could choose JUMP, either way works.
Haha apparently not. Well I've got the answers I was looking for anyway.
I fail to see how I am taking advantage of Tmo, since they offer that promotion loud and clear. The know a brand new ATT line carries an ETF of 325, yet they broadcast they will pay an ETF of up to 350 per line. So again, TM seems more than happy to do this and I'm sure there are thousands of other who have done the same thing before me. Sorry Oridus, but I will not sleep any worse tonight knowing my actions are frowned upon by your holiness.

Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and I just return the phone to ATT and then switch to TM without making any upgrades first. But I think it will work.
Oridus, I see your point. but I'm not really forcing them, when they advertise everywhere they're more than willing to pay up to 350.
He's fulfilling the terms of his contract. How is that taking advantage of AT&T?You're taking advantage of them because you're forcing them to pay your ETF's with at&t that you shouldn't necessarily have. Plain and simple.
Explain how it's unethical. He's not planning on using any loopholes; just following the terms both companies give out.You can try to justify it all you want, but what you're trying to do is still ethically wrong. But that doesn't matter anyway. You haven't read the fine print well enough nor have you done you're calculations right and you'll get what's coming to you if you give this a try.
Enough of this negative thread on what is supposed to be an otherwise fun and exciting night. Later.
None of this would be necessary if ATT didn't throttle my after 5GB and make my data speeds unusable. If I actually had UNL data like I should, I wouldn't even switch.
This, yes this right here. This is why we can't have nice things. This is why carriers increase their fees. This is why carriers are moving to no longer pay for any part of our phones on contract. In the future when people ask why, point them to this man: jbame. It is his fault. The blame can be laid squarely at the feet of people like him.Just practicing capitalism.
