I just traded in my Ipad Air 1 32GB at Best Buy and got $301 Best Buy gift card + a $50 printed coupon on the purchase of a new Ipad Air 2. Total $351.00 Whoo hooo!!!!

That is a good deal. It's odd they aren't giving a higher value for iPad's with more memory and LTE. The quote for my Air 64GB LTE model was $302, just a dollar more. So the $50 coupon is definitely necessary for them to be competitive. Unfortunately, BB doesn't sell the cellular version of the Air 2 yet.

I'll likely use Gazelle where I'm being offered $325 and I'll buy the Air 2 directly from Apple.

Don't forget, in addition to that $300, you get a $50 coupon for use towards an iPad Air 2. So, if you're in the market for an Air 2, you're actually getting $350.
Can I trade in my iPad mini verzion 32gb, and iPad air 32gb wifi for 1 iPad Air 128gb wifi?

Yes, you can trade in multiple iPads and receive multiple gift cards. However, I don't know what the trade in values are so I can't comment specifically. Note that the extra $50 coupon is only good for use towards an iPad Air 2.

The coupon is valid from 10/17/2014 - 11/15/2014. Also, the coupon says for "in store use only. The Best Buy employee said you could still purchase online, bring the coupon into the store and they would give you a credit. I would make sure that you call and get confirmation from the store Manager before doing this.

Interesting. I've already reserved/pre-ordered my Air 2 for in-store pickup tomorrow. The full charge ($600+) is pending on my credit card, but I know they won't actually push the charge through until I pick it up. The store I ordered from is no longer showing any availability of the model I want (64GB Space Gray, Wi-Fi).

So my plan is to show up to the store tomorrow, trade in my original Air and get the gift card + coupon, and then have them cancel the order I placed online for in-store pickup. They can then simply resell me the iPad they had originally reserved in my name and apply the gift card + coupon. This should work... right?

One trade-in value is 160 and the other is 301 so will I get an additional hundred dollars on top of that?

Be careful with Amazon on electronic trades. It's not Amazon so much as the company they use for trade ins. I had a bad experience with them and swore never to deal with them again on trade in. Long story short: I traded in a flawless 1st Gen Kindle Fire tablet, it had the box, the wrapper and I even cleaned it. I was expecting "like new". They rejected the tablet, threw away the original box and cellophane wrapper, tossed my tablet with the charger in a box with no padding and sent it back.

Needless to say I was pissed.

I hope it was flawless.

I have seen way too many eCraigslist ads and purchased a few items from sellers or about to do the deAL from "flawless" devices only to look at those items. Micro scratches on screen. Few chips on body.

I read the BB fine print, I'm guessing ipad minis are included as far as the extra 50 off towards a new air 2?

BB shows my ipad r 32G wi fi is "worth" $206.00 trade in plus an extra $50.00 towards the new air equals $256.00. I am reading that right?:D

Gazelle is $226.00 with the extra $20.00

You can only use 1 $50 coupon per Air 2. If you trade them both at the same time, you will get a $461 gift card + $50 coupon. If you trade them in separately, you will get a $160 giftcard, $301 giftcard, and 2 $50 coupons (I think, but don't hold me to it; they may limit the number of coupons 1 person can get).

I wonder if the location of the trade-in processing center has anything to do with it -- i.e., certain centers are more professional while others are shady. I just traded in an Air for $360 without a problem (received and processed in 2 days). A couple years back I traded in an iPad 3 for $575 (iPads used to hold their value much longer than they do now) without a hitch.

The center I send my trade-ins to is in Kentucky. Where was your center?

Gee I don't remember as it was about 3 years ago.

Thanks very much for the link. Initially it said I couldn't use the promotion because I was a returning customer even though I've never sent them anything, only gotten an offer. Just deleted my previous one and made a new account, simple enough :D Hey, 20 bucks is 20 bucks and technically I am a new customer.

I just tried to trade in my mom's mini and they would only give her the $150, not the $150 plus a coupon. The manager refused and said it had to be an iPad 2 or better. I tried to tell him the mini was better but they still refused. I'm going to try to see if another Best Buy will give her the coupon on her mini trade.

When you get a hard a$$ manager at BB, it's better to either come back when they're not working or to go to another store. It's no use even trying to argue with them, unless you can get them to call corporate to handle the dispute. It's so frustrating.

Trade Up to iPad

Guaranteed minimum of $175 toward the new iPad mini 3 with trade in of iPad 2nd generation or newer
Guaranteed minimum of $200 toward the new iPad Air 2 with trade in of iPad 2nd generation or newer

A bare bones mini wi fi 16 is worth $150
Using the BB trade in program. So I can see where that is coming from.
BUT, BB is adding the extra 50 in with this so this manager was shorting you.

I'm going to BB tomorrow so I will report back.

Anyone have more info about iPad trade ins valued >$200 getting the extra $50? Also can you stack a movers coupon on top of it?
