Damn, it's been nearly seven years since I joined.

I don't remember exactly how I found Macrumors (much smaller then), but this was in the relative dark age of Macs, when I had to do a lot of work to coordinate and gain the functionality in some areas that my PC brethren had. Running a small production company at the time, I was always looking for solutions to make my mac(s) do what I needed them to do, either on the interweb, or in audio/visual applications.

I was in Austin TX - and still have (and use) the Pismo I made my first post with. I have also been in the PRSI forum since it's near-inception - though it is now a shadow of what it used to be...

Well I was eater on my iBook G4 or PowerMac G3. If on the G3 I was in a shared room with my (super annoying) brother or if I was on the iBook I could have been at school or anywhere at home. I do not remember which.

I actually had to go look up my first ever post to jog my memory. As others have said, I was at work and on my lunch break. I joined and posted to get help with an issue, but had been coming to Macrumors for quite some time before that. It's truly amazing how addictive it becomes after you take the plunge and start interacting in the forums. For example, I'm posting now, at work, not on my lunch break. :D

December 2001: At home in front of my 2001 iBook running Mac OS 9.

I lurked for months (I purchased it 3 days before 9/11), then joined on a whim. Didn't really need to, but if something did happen ...

I was probably at home somewhere. I've been here since 2003 (mostly lurking, hence the low post count), so it's been a while. :p

I imagine I was at home on Christmas break after my first semester freshman year of high school. Inevitably it was posted from Mac OS 9 on my lovely Lime green G3 iMac DV (an 11th birthday present!). I'm 21 now and a junior in college...

Damn that seems like a long time ago!

On the floor
In my basement
At about 1:00 AM (Probably, it was during summer)
Around late August
Using my dad's laptop (Which ironically, I am using right now- First time using it in like 3 months)(HP dv2000)
At home.

That is not ironic, that is just a silly fact. (worthy thread)

</pet peeve>
</attempting to teach people what is ironic and what isn't one cringe at a time :p>

I definitely don't remember, as I've been a member for more than 5 (!) years. But looking at the date, I must be in my dorm back when I was a freshman, at an university about 3,000 miles away from where I am right now. At the time I had an iBook G3 900 MHz. Great notebook.

In a girl's bed that I had met the night before while using her white macbook. (No she wasn't there. I am not that much of a nerd).

Ahh, student days..... :D

And you wonder why that poor MacBook doesn't return your calls

It was august, on my old desk, in my room with my Windoze desktop, being faulty, I was waiting to get a Mac for 4 years at that time. I got my Mac December 9th, 2009 at 3:23 pm :p

In a small apartment in San Francisco. Just before Macworld 2002 with the introduction of the LCD iMac and iPhoto...I think.
