My wife bought an 8GB M1 Mac Mini a few months ago and that little machine has been amazing. Nothing seems to slow it down. So I had no qualms about getting the 8GB iPad Pro.

I'm waiting until WWDC and then planning to get an 8gb 256 wifi 12.9". If I could just upgrade to 16gb I would, but I don't need 1TB of space.

Hoping to maybe see M1 optimized Mac apps (not the OS) become runnable on iPadOS. It'll be interesting.
I am also waiting - if there is a reason for 16 GB I’ll pick up one, but if not, I’ll go with a 256 GB and use the rest for some other toy.

I bought based upon my storage needs so I went with the 512GB model. I was using about 180GB of the 256GB on my last model, so now I have room to spare.

I figured that if 8GB is good enough for default configuration of the MacBook Air or new iMac, than it’s more than good enough for my iPad usage. I don’t edit videos or do complex 3D modeling and 8GB will be more than enough for doodling.
