I don't see anyone discussing this, but where's the non-pro, standard iPhone 18???

Correct me if I'm wrong, this is the first time Apple released a new iPhone line-up without a non-pro model, since introduction of pro devices. They didn't update the Air as well. What's going on??

I wasnt.. Not everyone needs a "pro" device for its thunderbolt port or 3rd camera but a faster and more efficient CPU, new colors, a better screen with higher max brightness would be nice..
It’s coming, Apple will be separating the Pro / Non Pro device releases from here on. The new Air is expected at the same time too, as will the 18e

If spring release is indeed true, Apple will be missing the holiday sales and iPhone 17 and Air will be a 1.5 year old models by that time.. I'm not sure if this is a good move, they could just replace the chip, throw some new fresh colors and maybe reduce the dynamic island like they did on Pros and move on..

Well, you're not often reading news here on Macrumors, are you?
Because it's been reported for almost a year that - starting with 18-series - Apple is splitting their release to "Pro/Foldabe" = fall and "Standard/Air" = spring the year after.

I think Apple had to do this due to the RAM Crisis…your point about the holiday sales is very true, we’ll see how things play out, this sort of forces people who want to upgrade their base iPhone 14s and 15s to 18 Pro.

Yep, Apple had the cheek to also raise the prices of the 17, Air and 17e by £100 which just takes the mickey really. The iPhone Air was hardly selling at its original price, so their strategy to improve its sales is to raise its price, great stuff Apple.
