I'm sorry, it must stem from the fact that I live in Europe and even though our governments spend money on silly things, most of it goes to keep the country afloat and secure their citizens in case of unemployment, health care issues and something as mundane as infrastructure and jobs for many, many people, amongst other things.

Denmark must seem like communism to certain parts of the United States

And I gladly pay 42% in taxes for all the things our country provides.
