Which is the best model to get if I am currently a student entering highschool, a lower end processor, with 8 GB RAM and a 500 GB Hard Drive, or the nicer processor, but with standard configuration?

Since I have no idea what you'll be using your computer for, I'll recommend something between a 11" air and a dual processor MacPro...

High schoolers don't need anything beyond the base configuration.

if you are going to watch porn, make sure you turned your firewall on and install some security programs.

get the base with 8gb of ram. i run mine (2011 13 base) with a 27 acd and it still plays sc2 at low settings at above 40ps. youre more likely to benefit from more ram since the gpu shares the memory.

Consider a MacBook Air, even though you will only get 4 Gb RAM.

Or do you do 3D modeling or video editing? In this case you'd better go with a 15" mbp.
