I'm thinking about ordering a MacBook Pro, but before I do, I was wondering if anyone here could tell me which hard drive Apple is using when buyers select the 160GB 7200rpm hard drive option? Is it the Seagate Momentus (7200.2) or something else?

    Thanks.

I can confirm that the 7200 rpm disk is the Seagate Momentus in my 17" MBP.

Thanks for your responses. So I guess what drive I get might be a toss-up between Hitachi and Seagate.

    Looks like it - mine's a 17" too (about a month old).
