Crazy pricing aside, which Apple Watch are you going for (if at all)?

I'm a bit stuck between the SS or Alu. Want to be cost effective, but don't want to compromise on important features (sapphire crystal display). And as they say... "buy cheap, buy twice".

Hoping this poll will help me (and others!) come to a conclusion - even if we still have 4 weeks to decide ;)

Debating between a space grey sport and stainless steel myself. Trying to figure out what benefits the sport has (if any) over the SS when it comes to sports and athletics. If it's simply a cheaper model and serves no added benefit, I'll go space grey SS. That sapphire glass is appealing.

I believe the only thing the Sport doesn't have is, the sapphire glass cover or the ceramic back of the other model.

I really like the SS, but it will probably smudge like crazy! Some I am more leaning towards the Space Grey Aluminum. Not too sure though.

sport, mainly b.c it is the right price point.

If I would be missing features or specs, I may consider the others. I like the look of my pebble, and the sport looks very similar. Are they all confirmed to be water resistant (in the sense you can shower with them)?

Wouldn't it be lighter weight?

I think the Sport has a few plusses over the SS: lighter, cheaper, no smudges on the shiny steel, and the black one is really, really nice.

I still haven't made my mind up as I'm going back and forth between the aluminium and stainless steel and obviously prefer the former due to cost but in terms of build quality I prefer the latter. I will mostly likely bite the bullet and get the stainless steel with the black sport band initially and then buy one of the leather bands or the Milanese loop later on for more formal occasions. I rather have the sapphire crystal display then the ion-x one.

Leaning towards stainless because I intend to hold onto it for 3-5 years before upgrading. I want it to be really nice.

The decision will come down to:
1) How each feels to wear. Do I want lighter weight or more luxurious?
2) The look of the finish on each, when viewed in person.
3) Some kind of real-world info on how resistant each material is to wear and scratching. I know they are both hardened, but how much harder is stainless?
4) Real-world info on how scratch and shatter resistant ion glass vs. sapphire is.

Getting the Sport, because I'm pretty sure I'll be upgrading to the gen2 when that comes out. Since I plan on keeping it only for a year, durability isn't so important.
