MP 7,1 Which are the best PCIe slots to install SSD in 7,1?

I’ve got two PCIe cards to hold 2TB each of SSD for my 2019 Mac Pro. In the past I seem to recall there were better slots than others.

What PCIe adapters? There’s likely a lane limit to them, so that matters with positioning. Unless x16, there is flexibility.
