Nope. They just said similar design. That didn’t include the camera generationAll of the predictions that I’ve heard are that it will be the same camera as the iPhone 8.
Exactly, the iPhone 9 is supposed to be a "budget friendly" competitor to the budget friendly Android competition. They’re planning to sell this phone till 2022 at least and with the competition out there (including $399 Pixel 3a and now 4a) and that kinda tired design they really can’t afford to release a lackluster camera at this point.
We know that it will come with one lens , if this lens comes with the main camera from 11 series will it have dark mode ? Does dark mode requires another camera?
I'm guessing it will be from the XR. With that, and the price point they're targeting, I doubt it will have night mode.
Night mode is a software feature enabled by A13, not some particular “lens”. The SE2 will have A13. So if Apple ships this phone without night mode, smart hdr and other computational photography features it means they’ll be deliberately disabling them. Why shoot yourself in the leg? I have no idea to be honest.

Fully geared iPhone 11’s main camera is my prediction.

Actually all of the predictions were saying XR camera...All of the predictions that I’ve heard are that it will be the same camera as the iPhone 8.
Night mode requires a lens with 100% focus pixels, which was introduced on iPhone 11.
The telephoto and ultra wide lenses don't have 100% focus pixels and do not have night mode.
I agree, and I think it would compete against one of the main reasons why Apple is marketing the Pro with night mode, and that’s a very specific requested feature that they finally delivered on, and by including that on a cheaper iPhone, that would only take away from the consumer to upgrade to the most expensive model to have that option.
You really think that’s not enough to differentiate between models? So they have to intentionally release an iPhone with a 2-year old camera system, even though Apple has never done this before (OG SE came with the flagship camera).
