I’m surprised this is happening with the Sheath models. My first try at a replacement was the new one. Sorry to hear that guys.

You talking the black one? I got the correct black one the first try.

It’s the blue & green that is giving me trouble.

My problem was with with a black one. The replacement they sent me still had the X speaker cutouts.

They told me the Blue ones will be at least another month.

Yes, the bottons are covered, and are very responsive. I'm very happy with this case.
I ordered a Totallee glossy case based on your recommendation. I wound up ordering the clear (soft) version. I sent them a message asking about the other colors, but they never responded, and I didn't want to risk it.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share this, but if anyone is interested in getting a Totallee case, they provided a coupon code for 55% off (PATIENCE).

Does the Totallee leather for the Max have covered buttons?

No, they are opened. From what I can tell, all of their cases have opened buttons except the glossy clear (soft) case. For what it’s worth, the glossy clear (soft) case is slightly thicker than the others, too.

That worked great, thank you for that. A few hours after saying I won’t be getting anything else I go and buy a totallee. I ordered the same gloss clear soft case.

Just called them and they told me to go pound sand, that deal is over and done with. :(

Caudabe just emailed me back and said they will ship me out 2 new cases with the correct cutouts and I should receive them within the next 15 years. o_O

It’s just aluminum under the front panel of the Element Enigma. However it sits low into the felt back panel and is super secure. I’ve run the Enigma hard the past few days and my phone is fine with no scratches etc. now I’m test driving the Element Rally so I’ll have a report soon. Sorry they wouldn’t hook ya up post Toofer sales that sucks man.

Here’s my IPhone X version Synthesis. Keep in mind I literally took this to hell and back. They’ve switched materials or manufacturing it has to be! If ya have the XS do you want this?
through a dozen African countries etc. See how there’s no scratches? It would be with my keys or tucked in my camera bag scraping etc.. not a scratch

I wish more cases use the frosted/semi transparent backs. Clear cases are so impractical, unless seeing every little scratch and fingerprint is your thing. My parent's 8 Plus Synthesis cases have held up as well.

i agree, but as noted above, for whatever reason, my new Synthesis for the XS came scratched and seems scratch prone. i don't know if there is a bad batch, they used a new material, or the Stealth Black color is to blame, but mine scratches as bad or worse than any clear case i've seen or owned.

i still haven't heard back from Caudabe in 1.5 days, so i decided to post a comment on Facebook where they are touting how great the new Synthesis is. we'll see if i get a response soon. as i mentioned above, i think i just want a refund even its going to cost me a significant fraction of the original case cost to ship it back. if it was as durable as your 8+ or Zaned's X version, i would keep it, even if it still isn't quite what i expected. (i was hoping for a "apparent protection level" comparable to the Synthesis, but i don't think that's the case. i have to admit, i have decided to not play around with it much more until i hear from Caudabe lest i be accused of adding more scratches to the case and invalidating my ability to return it for a full refund.

May only buy cases from amazon from here on out. Totally first world problems, I get it. But Mous’ free two-three day shipping on orders over $79 are great but I placed the order on Friday and still don’t have a shipping notification. Emailed their support today and their auto-reply was “due to the busy season it can take us up to 5 business days to respond to your question”.

+1 My XS Black Synthesis came with light/thin, but visible scratches. Mine also had shiny spots. This won't work for folks that want a pretty back. The synthesis is now my case for when I work out and cycle, so it wasn't worth returning for me, but I know other folks wouldn't be happy.

Haven`t chosen my case yeat but would like to get a black genuine leather case, have you got any worthy candidates?
You are experienced in this anyway )

I have a mujjo on the way, I’ll post some pictures and let you know once I get it. The apple leather is nice but a little slick. The nomad rugged is nice as well.

And 3 months to receive your case.

I think we have hit the proverbial phone case wall.

Yea, I'm done.

Is it just me or everyone feels that the Apple leather cases are slick as grease. Boy! I tried the Apple Leather case for an iPhone 8 and it's really slippery. The leather case was in use for more than a year now, so it's definitely has to do with the case not been broken in. Maybe it's my hands, I don't know, but have been using Apple Silicone cases and I feel they are much better with regards to grip.

But for my new iPhone, I've already placed an order for both the Sena and Mujjo leather cases and I'm really starting to question my decision. Would all the leather cases have slippery feeling in general? Anyway this can be improved.

I don't find the Apple leather cases slippery at all?!!!

In fact, I find they offer superb grip as the leather seems to naturally want to grip your hands (I can hold my phone and case at a 45 degree angle in my hand and it wont slip off!).
[doublepost=1544089444][/doublepost]I'm currently using Apple's Leather folio case on m,y iPhone XS.

Its an ok case but the flap part is super flimsy and does feel very cheap, even though the whole case costs a ridiculous £99

I have also ordered a Twelve South Surface pad (https://www.twelvesouth.com/product/surfacepad-for-iphone), which I have liked since the first day I set eyes on it, so anxiously waiting for it to arrive from Amazon (should be here over the weekend). Don't mind that it has minimal protection as this is what I'm looking for!

It’s just slowed down enough in here I think most are settling in on cases or giving up hope. Those are the only two options, i believe.

Me too. Maybe the crazy of Black Friday contributed to increase in activity?

I’m still using the Caudabe Sheath as my daily case, but now with a pop socket on the back. I’ve never used a pop socket before so I’m kinda adjusting to it.

I’m also awaiting for an exchange of a left handed version of the Loopy Case Max. But otherwise, I feel mostly done. There’s a Pitaka 20% deal going on. The talks of finger prints on it, combined with knowing I’ll end up going back to the Sheath within an hour holds me back.

You are not alone. I bought an Apple leather case for my iPhone 8 and it was super slippery. I always had to grip the phone hard to make sure it doesn’t slip out. From online search, kinda sounds like it’s a mixed experience for the grip. I’ve returned mine a long while back. It did smell nice though.
