Hi Everyone , which charger is everyone ordering with their MBA M2 ? The 67W or Dual 35W ? I thought I read that the dual isnt so powerful when charging 2 devices. If that's true why bother with the DUAL and not go with the 67W ?

With dual you only get 17.5W per device. That’s not enough to fast-charge two devices at once (like an iPhone and an iPad or a Mac). Since I don’t have a shortage of outlets at home don’t care about dual-charging. I much more value fast charging. So I’m going with 67W and that one brick will fast-charge all my devices.

Depends on what bricks you own. I already have some 60+W capable chargers in my possession, so a comparatively small dual port travel charger would be nice to add to the collection.

If you don’t have any 60W+ brick I’d suggest you choose that instead.

I already have a 60 W charger set up with a Caldigit SOHO dock so the 67 W isn't very useful for me. Dual charger is at least something I don't already have. I'd prefer that Apple follow the iPhone route and have an option to not ship a charger if I don't need it. I probably will never use it.

I would choose the new 2 charge port one myself. I have a boat load of 60w + but If I didn't I would prob get the big one.

The 35W charger is an absolute joke. I have a bunch of really nice 66W GaN chargers that are THE SAME SIZE as this new Apple one but with 3 ports that are ten times more useable. Can charge Macbook plus iPad plus iPhone at full speed rather than some 17.5W each nonsense. What's the point of running my Macbook with 17W charging?!

At 17.5W per device you can fast charge an iPad and an iPhone. Fast charge is anything above 7.5W in those devices. A Mac? Now, there you'll just sustain the charge.

I have no reason to “fast charge” a computer that has an 18hr battery
That was my thinking. Also, I’m concerned that fast charging the device frequently with a more powerful charger might shorten the battery life?

Don’t really feel like I need anything more than the regular charger?

I got the dual 35 watt charger. I just don’t see a need for fast charging at least for my use case. It puts extra wear on the battery and since the battery life is more than a day I could just simply plug it in overnight.

If you need to be on your computer 20 hours a day and only have 4 hours to charge it then maybe you need the fast charger 😂😂

I have several of this charger. Love it. Small like the 30W Apple one but at 66W it has enough power to charge a Macbook Air, iPhone and Apple Watch at ease. My favourite part is that I can use it in the US, EU, Australia, UK/SG/HK thanks to the included adapters.

Fast charging the the M2 MacBook Air is limited to 70 watts, so it is not an extreme amount of power. If it would cause any harm to the battery's life, I'm sure that Apple wouldn't sell nor recommend the higher-power charger for it.

I already have some nice Anker dual usb c chargers. Rather have a 67watt fast charger to top mine up when needed as I plan to use it on the battery more than plugged in. That’s why I got the air, for the portability
