which charger

i need a charger for my 2008 macbook pro 15". thought it would be simple but cant be sure which one to get. i see magsafe 1 and 2. L and T. it came with the L but shows that i can also use the T connector style, and i also find chargers listed for retina display.

The L shaped one your Mac uses MagSafe 1 so search under MagSafe 1 chargers.

Magsafe 1, either T or L, doesn't matter, so long as it's magsafe 1. 85W since you have 15" inch.

bought the L. 85 watt. that was the problem, all the T ones i found were referred to as Magsafe 2. the L are called Magsafe 1, at least thats how the show and list them. i just figured the T is easier to remove.

Magsafe 1 came in both T and L.
Magsafe 2 only came in T.
