Is there a WatchOS complication to show distance walked/traveled, specifcally in km?

For the entire day, not per workout.

I tried pedometer+ but the "middle" complication on the modular watchface didn't really work out too well. Are there any others out there?

Try FitnessView. You may have to pay to enable the feature, I got all features for free when they had a giveaway, so I don't know which features are paid.

StepsApp Pedometer (by StepsApp GmbH).
even if your iOS system is set to miles, within the app itself there is a setting to report miles or kilometres.
i use this app to report steps and km in watch complications.

How accurate is the count? I've been using Pedometer++ for years, but notice pretty large discrepancies between the steps counted in the app vs the complication vs the widget with the latest update.

hi

there is no difference whatsoever using this app in the ways mentioned. all of those will report the same step count, across all watchOS complications, widgets, and apple Health.

however, during a fast walk, there is a delay in the updating of the step count. this happens with all step counting apps i have used. it does eventually catch up.

to force the update and catch it up to the in-real-time step count you just need to actually press the icon, complication, or app and it immediately updates it to the step count as of a few seconds ago.

i think that the api used to report steps that apps and complications use only updates the count every few minutes, so in real time is not being done for any step counting app that i know about.

the above info relates to steps.
regarding distance (km) there is less consistency. (probably step length setting is the key reason).
and regarding calories (or move units as apple calls them), i have found that all apps handle this differently - irrespective of the fact that you can set your watch as only device that can write data. (probably heart bpm; elevation change; and km/h pace; being three of the many different reasons why this would be different).

Actually, Pedometer ++ uses its own algorithm to determine the step count, so its numbers do differ from the number reported by Apple Health. You are right that most pedometer apps do take the step count from the Health app, but Pedometer ++ is an exception.

My issue isn’t so much that the step count from Pedometer++ differs from the step count in the health app. The issue is that even after refreshing the app, and being still for as much as an hour that the count shown in the watch and phone apps match, but differ from the count shown in the widget and watch complication. Isn't the source for each of these items the same? If not, why not? If so, please explain the discrepancy.

Even after sitting still for 45-60 minutes I have seen a difference of nearly 10%.

i was not referencing the app you mentioned.
i was talking about StepsApp.
