Which country would you like to travel to next?

On a slightly related note (see the "moving" thread), which country would you like to travel to next? I'm gonna put out the rule that you can only name one country. You can't list 27 countries even if you want to go to all of them.


Another question: What country would you travel to if you only had 10 days to travel? For some people, this may not influence their decision, but some people may want to visit a country, but only if they have a minimum amount of time. If you could only take a 10 day trip, where would you go?
 
Italy..I here it's just beautiful this time of year.. ;)

Next? Probably Great Britain, I haven't been to Europe yet and would like to do so soon.

For ten days? Maybe South Africa - I'd do it in style though, really live it up on those luxury safaris and stuff.
 
Brazil. I've always wanted to visit this unique place in a continent dominated by spanish speakers. Beautiful, wild, I adore the mixture of the races. 10 days would be perfect.
 
I would love to take a 10 day ski trip to France. Mmm I would love to ski for 10 days straight.

I'm also a big fan of taking 10 day winter trips. For some reason I find 10 days the perfect amount of time to be in a winter place. More than 2 weeks and I get sick of the snow. And a week isn't long enough for any holiday.

One country. If we could name lots of countries, I'm sure many of our lists would have the same countries, which would be uninteresting.

That's the country I was going to name too. That or Tanzania. Both in Africa. I'd just take photographs the entire time......shooting animals my own way. ;)


For a longer vacation, I'd go to Japan. I've always been interested in the culture. I have this weird image of the place, and yet I'm sure it's not that weird.

The funny thing is that even though I named South Africa as my "10-day trip" destination, in reality I'm probably going to go to Japan this year for around 12 days only, and that's if I'm lucky. I may only go for 10 days. :rolleyes: I am going to visit friends all over Japan, though.
 
somehow north korea intrigues me. but i would be satisfied with japan.

10-day trip? i would suggest and recommend ireland. rather a small country and in 10 days, you'd get the impression you have seen everything.

I took a 10 day trip to Japan last year and it was one of the best vacations of my life. Japan is one of the most fascinating countries in the world.
 
Funny. Today I was looking into booking a 10 day trip to Nice, France.
There's probably another country that I'd rather go to, but I have friends there, and it'll be great to see them and have them show me around (I just have to actually say yes to the ticket agent now).

I'm going to have to say France.
 
I'd absolutely love to go to China and spend 6 weeks or longer having a good nosey around. Just fascinating...

As for the 10-day trip, and since I'm in London, maybe somewhere like Spain where I've never been before. Tunisia or Morocco too.
 
Japan. (my dad just got back... loved it!)

But I'd be content w/ France. (sorry, sorry, sorry for naming 2. I really am sorry :eek:). I'm going to France twice within the next 12 months. So yay. :)
 
I was gonna say North Korea, because it's the conventional tourist spot for Americans :rolleyes: but amateurmacfreak changed my mind. I'll go with Japan. :D

I'd love to go to Italy (again) but I'd really love to go to Japan or Austrailia... I dont really know why...
 
Ok if I had to pick just one

New Zealand

I have lived in most of europe and travelled the rest.
North america is neat

south america I never been to.

Africa too hot
asia too crowded
 
I'll be travelling, all to breifly to England soon for work and stuff™, but if I could have a 10day holiday right now I think Barcelona has a certain appeal for me at the moment.

Longer term Poland, I'm really getting into the Polish at the moment.
