Which cover allows charging dock use?

Hi
My son has just bought me an iphone4😀 My first ever touch screen, so all very new for me!! Please bear with me and my ignorance....but I'm a keen learner!
I want to get a stand alone charging dock to keep my phone in all the time that I'm not using it...mainly so I can find my phone when I need it.
I also need to get a cover for my phone. Are there covers that can stay on the phone while its being charged in a dock?
(Do you say 'in a dock' or 'in the dock' or 'on the dock'??)
....oh...and I love my new phone!!....and my son!!

Depends on both the dock and the case. They're not all identical. Cases vary in dimensions. The openings and connectors on docks do as well.

Does anyone out there use a charging dock that allows their cover to stay on their iphone 4 while it charges....if so what ones please!

Has anyone used an 'apple iphone dock extender' for charging their phone with a case on it?
