Hi, Im using a Late 2013, MacBook Pro Retina.

I need a big monitor to work on my final cut pro timelines.

I have two good options only, but Im confused, which one to go with.

LG 31MU97 Digital Cinema 4K Monitor
LG 34UC98 34-Inch 21: 9 Curved UltraWide QHD IPS Monitor

Can someone help me choose ?

There are so many options for you that it's almost impossible to narrow down. Once you find a few that offer the same native resolution (or higher) that your run your MBP at, just pick one.

Are you editing 4K P3 video? If so, the 31" has real advantages, being 4K and having 97% of the P3 color space. But it's not quite a reference monitor, and you only mention wanting to use it for timelines. For that use, either display would be fine, as would many others. Could you say more about what matters to you in a monitor?

I edit our projects on final cut pro.
Most of our footages are 4K source files, which I confirm to 24 for 1080p timelines and work only.
