Which do you like more, 2D or 3D dock in Leopard?

To be honest, I don't really notice Leopard's dock is 3D any more. If I use my old laptop running Tiger, I notice that one is different, it's just that Leopard's has become the norm for me.

Funny how when the dock was changed to 3D so many people had a conniption, and now few care. People fear change, Mac users overtly despise change! For a few months at least.

I actually just changed the dock to 2D and love it. The 3D was far harder to see what programs were open.

i use a black 3D dock too but with the white lights (& without the little bit on the frontline edge).

but im using a dark background atm so im using the default 3D dock.

i prefer a personalized 3d dock... i mixed and matched various scurve and indicators from some custom docks and settled with this combo

Well, the general response I remember was dislike. Just like with any new release of an Apple product.

Though the Polling is showing that less people are indifferent than I thought it would show, must be more important things to complain about these days...

I really like the 3D dock, but apple should of included some built in customizer for the color of the dock. I am not a big fan of the default, but i changed it to a glossy black and it looks very sleek.

you know, apple really never allow user to customize anything to any greater degree. Apple's style is uniformity.

too bad apples scrollbars aren't uniform... i had to customize to get the solid grey itunes scrollbars throughout instead of those hideous aqua bars

I prefer the standard Dock, it's much easier to customize.

i'm indifferent. it depends on what iconset i'm using. like, the kobhens is only good with the 2d dock, but some other ones might look better with the 3d one.

I use the 2D dock, and don't really think about it much. However, when I log in as admin, I've kept the default settings -- yech, too much eye candy.

YMMV of course.

Me too. I like the black dock better than the default because indicators are more visible.

But I change from black to original every once in a while. I find that if I have a dark wallpaper I use the regular dock, and if I have a light wallpaper I use a dark dock.
