Which DVD media type for my iMac ?

I have an Intel Core-Duo 17" iMac. What type DVD media is correct for my burner? DVD-R or DVD+R ?

The standard mac format is DVD-R. Newer versions of the iLife app's do work with either, however.

As already noted, either will work. Another consideration is what other devices will be playing the finished DVD. I think that standalone DVD players, especially older units, prefer DVD-R
