Well, let's see...

Which of these features are the one you are looking forward to in a new MacBook Pro?

Any feature that you wish not on the list?

At the prices Apple charges, and for the presumed quality, they should give 3 years Applecare standard. Not likely to happen.

If you are a student in the UK (maybe the whole EU?) you get this, though only one year telephone support

Extended warranties are almost pure profit for manufacturers and retailers. So, of course they're not going to give them away, or they'll raise the price even more to cover the loss.

A hybrid drive seems to be a popular request. But is it likely?

I'd rather there wasn't a hybrid drive, its great for masses amounts of storage yes, but I'd rather a 512 SSD, its just I think I'd be inclined to store everything on the SSD for maximum performance, I'd imagine myself at a disadvantage in performance if I was to use the HDD.

A larger Battery Is Huge For Me. Some Of my Activities On The Lappy Can Take Longer Than 7 Hours. ;)

A larger battery life seems to be a very desired feature in new computers, even more than a Retina Display.

Perhaps these people wanting a larger battery should wait for the release of Haswell. Intel promised that Haswell would allow 24-hour usage and 10-day stand-by.

A 512 GB SSD is unfeasible. Too expensive!

Doesn't apple own an Arabian ssd plant? They would just pay production cost.

Production cost may still be too high. A new 512 GB SSD costs US$ 600 or more. That's about one third of the price of a 15" MacBook Pro.

+1 for liking to NOT SEE another one of these threads!!

I know that the issues discussed here have already been discussed elsewhere. If you look at the forum, there's a 146-page long thread with more than 3600 posts discussing the MacBook Pro redesign. And people keep posting the same things over and over, trying to convince the other users that the features they desire are the ones most likely to appear in a new MacBook Pro. Lots of discussions going on there.

I created this poll because I thought it would be interesting to see some statistics on what people would like to see in the new MacBook Pro. And I couldn't create a poll inside someone else's thread. So I'm sorry for the somewhat redundant thread, but I don't think it's totally useless.

I know it's a long shot (maybe even unofficially confirmed) but I'm really hoping for a Blu-ray player. I've always wanted to own a Blu Ray player haha :p I've never seen a Blu Ray quality film in my life. Plus I get to keep the ODD, which I still use on a consistent basis.
