Which games do you guys like to play?

I gave up playing games when I switched to mac in 2005. I have a mac pro and just purchased the radeon 4870 from the online store. I got it to keep my Mac Pro Classic kind of "up to speed" and wanting to get more horsepower than what I got with the lowly nvidia 7300GT. So, now I figure I can actually run games on my computer. The thing is, I don't know what any good games are. What do you guys play?

I'm not a big gamer, but I do binge on the following games:

Call of Duty 4
GTR2 (needs a steering wheel)
Company of Heroes
Civilization III and/or IV

None of these games are "current" but I def enjoy them.
 
I like to play a few classics
Diablo II
Starcraft

I can't wait for Diablo III and Starcraft II

I'm looking for more games to play, but since FPS doesn't really float my boat I haven't really seen anything that makes me want to bite
 
What I have installed:

  • Chessmaster 9000
  • Halo
  • Cars (from the Pixar Movie)
  • Plasma Pong (kewl game!)
  • Fairy Tower
  • Spore (excellent game!)
  • Zenerchi (very kewl - I've cleared it twice now!)
  • Quake III Arena
  • Quake4 (like Q3s but needs the killer video card!)
  • Platypus (neat-o!!!)
  • 4x4 Evolution (lol pretty lame!)
  • Nexuiz
  • Slope Rider (lame as I recall)
  • Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory (good game!)
  • Savage 2
  • Warhammer!
  • Close Combat - First to fight. (kinda lame and I don't like combat realism)
  • Tropico 2 (Hehhe let's all be pirates - simm)
  • Rattitoui (from the film - I'm prolly spulling it whroung - it just called "Rat" on disk)
  • And then some emulators for the sega consoles and such with huge libraries of game rips.

iRacing (By FAR the most time I spend gaming and the only reason I installed Windows. lol)

PS3 Handles the rest of my gaming needs.
 
I play Warzone Resurrection. The game was originally released by Pumpkin Studios / Eidos in 1999. Since 2004 Warzone bacame free (licensed under the GPL). It is now under development by the Warzone Resurrection Team:

Lately just WoW, Sims 3, Red Alert 3. Although the latter of these two I prefer to play in Boot Camp since they just run so much better there. I can also play the extension pack for RA3 in Windows unlike OS X.
 
F.E.A.R. is the only game I play online (mostly because it's the only game I have that I bought ;))

Well, let's go through the list! All on Windows, unfortunately, as I have a G5... Maybe its a good thing :)

Half-Life (everything, including Lost Cost for benchmarking purposes!)
Homeworld (mmm... classic)
Civilisations 4 & Expansions
COD4&5
Mirror's Edge (<-best proof-of-concept EVER, IMO)
STALKER; Clear Skies
Mass Effect
Fallout 3 :D

I have more installed, but these are the ones I think come out of that horrible needs-defragging mess to really shine!
 
Almost every game made by Valve (the Half-Life saga, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead...). But last week Cogs got me hooked - a really nice and addictive game. Try the demo first if puzzle games ain't your thing.
 
According to Steam I have 130 games installed. *sigh*

OS X:
All of my Macs have Quake 1-3, and SW:Jedi Knight 2 installed. :D
