If you're planning on using high resolutions and detail, then any game that isn't ancient would justify it.

I would say that Crysis would be a good game to max out with this card. I had to pull custom settings for good framerates with my 2008 MBP so I'm not sure I'm prepared to see what I can do with the 2012 iMac.

Aside from not knowing the price for the upgrade to a 680MX, I'm still on the fence about getting one. I don't have any use for that GPU other than gaming and I haven't played PC games in a couple of years, with the exception of diablo 3.

My question is, which exclusive games are there or will be released for PC in the near future, that I couldn't play on my Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?

If you want to play on native 1440p, almost every game will benefit from 680mx.

Crysis is a really old game now. Even Intel HD 4000 will get 50 fps on medium resolutions...

What is a 1440p screen? and why now everybody threats resolutions by using only height data and adding a "p" on the end?!

I'm excited that the 680mx will handle modern games. I've gotta find some gems to try out when she finally arrives! Saw a commercial for Assassin's Creed 3, and that looks like it might be one to try. Windows only AFAIK, but I planned on doing bootcamp anyway.

Its just a convention. Resolutions are standardised, so the width is inferable from the height. E.g. 1200 or 1080 pixels height both indicate 1920 pixels width.

The p actually stands for 'progressive scan', but recently years people often use it simply to denote the resolution heigh.

All of them! :p

Any recent game that you want to play and native panel resolution (2560x1440) will really benefit from the 680mx.
