Whichever version the iPod Touch 1st Generation launched with (1.0.1? 1.0.2?)

I was in high school when the iPhone and iPod launched and I had saved all summer for an iDevice. I still remember excitedly downloading the jailbreak software (the whole iPod OS) through the iPod’s wifi to get the jailbreak to work.

The original dock, the original jailbreak applications before the App store.. ah, good times.

    Runner up:
iOS 6 was a big one. That too was super exciting and brought new icons and jailbreaking was still alive and well and I had it customized just... perfectly.

Edit: Thanks OP. Currently browsing eBay for original iPods now.

IOS 4.3.3. I was in Singapore with my family, when I tried online jailbreakme (without having laptop at all). That was very exciting.
I compared 1st gen Ipad and iPod touch with this OS, their speed is still comparable with the latest iPhone / iPad Air. Just felt like being cheated with Appl*e :)

iOS 6. For me it's just nostalgic, i miss the looks of it. For me it all started with iOS 6, my first ever iOS device ran iOS 6.1 (iPod touch 4th). I do like the looks of that OS. How i miss the old music app with the font they had and Cover Flow. Great times. But iOS 7 - 12 brought so many new features that i really would miss on iOS 6. Like Control Center. Simplest thing. Didn't exist back then. How many times did i went into Settings just to set the brightness...

iOS 6, visually pleasing, non-flat icons, dark mode, apps not junked up, for example Meriam Webster Dictionary, a good solitaire by Cool Moon...
