Which iOS x.x.x will run the best on an iPhone 3G

Hello. So which one? I currently have the latest iOS (4.3.2 ?) on my 3G but it runs slooowwww. I want to downgrade, jailbreak, and unlock it so I can use it on T- Mobile. Thanks.

I'm talking with no Cydia add-ons of any kind. Start putting those in and you'll be unhappy with the experience.

I have a 3g that's on 4.2.1 and it's pretty slow. Maybe I need to learn what to do to clean it up.

3.1.3 was always the fastest for me, however I noticed a bug in it where when waking from sleep wifi was sometimes very slow to appear.
