    16GB black. No reason, for $100 why not get more space, and black looks better then white imo

    8 -> 16 GB Black

    Because it looks better than the white one, and I might aswell get higher storage capacity as I'm upgrading from 8 GB 1st gen. Dunno how much space apps are going to take, but I rather be safe than sorry, in case I want more stuff on the iPhone.

    I'm waiting for red 32GB. I initially said I was going to wait on the iPhone until it had GPS and 30+GB. Well I bit on a refurb, but I'm still waiting on the whole package before I commit to the extra $10/month. I also want all of you early buyers to tell me what's good, what's bad. I was skeptical for months about call quality based on reviews. Boy, were they wrong.

    I'm on the fence wether to get the 16GB white or black - the black is more "cool" looking, but the white is exclusive to the 16GB model which is for whatever reason appealing to me.

    I voted fro the 8gb because it will be my first iPhone and I want to try it out before I consider the 16gb model.

    I am really excited about getting the iphone!

    Don't forget that you won't be able to upgrade for 2 years unless AT&T starts selling one without a contract. I'd really recommend 16GB, especially if you ever want to use video on it.

    For a starter 8GB might be just fine. I have been dealing with it for a while now, and you get in the habit of removing video's you know you don't really want on there. Of course I would recommend the 16GB model for small price difference, but if you truly feel you won't use the the additional 8GB - that's your call... because you may be stuck with it for 2 years so consider the pros and cons.

    I'm going for black 16gb as I want as much space as possible for all the lovely apps coming out....and the colour matches everything else I have (Black/Silver iMac, Fatman iValve dock & speakers, matches nicely into my car too).

    It will be replacing my black 30 gig iPod so I am going to be getting a black 16 gig.

    You can do that, but there's a restocking fee within (14) days of your purchase. :cool:

    I have an 8G and really don't have a problem fitting a ton of movies. With iSquint I was able to get my movies down to a small size while still maintaining quality (only on iPhone.) So I just built up my vid library to have a mac/tv size and an iphone size.

    But, of course, going from $200 to $300 is much easier than $400-$500. And the point about being stuck for 2 years might make the $100 money well spent. Personally, as attractive as the $2-300 price point sounds, I'd rather just pay it upfront and not be trapped in a contract. I'm curious what the early termination fee is...

    And I would take the 16G Black, but probably won't upgrade until Xmas. Of course, that's subject to change ;-)

    I voted black 16GB, but it's possible I'll change my mind when I see them in person. After reading that article at iLounge, I might end up going for the white one since scratches and fingerprints would essentially be invisible, as opposed to the black one which would probably be a fingerprint/scratch magnet! :eek: Only time will tell... :apple:

    Still deciding whether or not I would use the extra 8GB on the 16GB model, since I have an 8GB right now and it seems to work just fine for me. Decisions, decisions.
