Haha by no means am I saying it's warranted, just a suggestion for the OP to calm themselves down. Like grabbing a stress ball.

----------

I prefer the 5S because it makes me feel richer than the people who buy 5Cs.

Please? I'm trying to have a nice thread and discuss why people either like one or the other. Their is no need to say a downgrading thing towards another forum member.

Probably true for me to some extent as well :p

Same here. Not only that, when I handpicked my iPhone 5 I made sure it was made by one of the underage factory workers. I also prefer blood diamonds and make sure to ask for them when shopping at a jewelry store. My expensive items damn well better be made by suffering poor people.

Come on, people. The OP did a nice job of fixing the OP so no need to treat this thread sarcastically.

As for myself, I picked the 5s because 5c is last year's technology and I had the 5.

Thank you for your reply. I understand completely. I'm not a huge person on having the most up to date tech (I still use my 2nd gen iPod touch daily and have no problem with it) plus I like the color blue a lot so that's y I got a 5c.

PLEASE READ INTRO POST TO THREAD (post #1)... I just want this to be a thread on if you recommend the 5s or 5c...state why you recommend it. Kindly state why YOU(and only you) prefer it over the other phone. That is all that needs to be said.

Thank you.
Dude. I kinda like your posts so far so don't take this the wrong way. If the above is truly what you wanted this thread to be about, you should have led with that. 75% of the posts in this thread are a reaction to your first post before it was changed.

You initially led with a criticism of the 5s by suggesting that it was inferior to the 5c because the 64bit processor was not currently useable by a lot of apps.

At least it was hard NOT to infer that with the original wording of your first post and the link.

One of the things that can ruin your credibility pretty quickly on a forum is changing your original post to reflect something else.

Good or bad when you post you have to be prepared to take what comes.

We all get that you like the 5c and that's cool. Just think about what it is you're really trying to say before posting it.

I'm not attacking you – just trying to help.

Most of the reaction in the posts following were a response to the original post. Most people don't bother scanning back up to see if anything has changed.

I applaud the OP for changing the direction of the thread by reducing the initial tone. But it would be better to start off with clarity in the initial post rather than changing the direction mid-stream.

BTW. I stayed with my iPhone 5 because the 5s does not have enough changes to interest me and it doesn't come in black. And no, Space gray is not black.

The 5c would have just been a crossgrade for me. Slightly improved internals, plastic instead of metal and not any color I care for. So, all the way around my iPhone 5 suits me. I'm also in the middle of a two year contract so that has a lot to do with it too. :D

I understand...my origional post was a bit misleading. I was trying to get the point across that the 5c isn't as bad as some say... I guess I didn't really put a question in the first post to show what I was trying to ask or say...I was trying to show my opinion on the matter and see others opinions back. I think my rewritten post conveys the message clearer...

But they are almost the same price. Actually anyone who bought the 5c would be richer than you.

I got a blue 32gb 5c and love it!! I only got it due to some good fortune though and it cost me ZAR 5000 or $454!

Having said that I would prefer the 5s as it is more future proof and definitely a more luxurious phone than the c.

I don't believe the price difference between the c and s is enough of an incentive to get the c.
