Hi

I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I mainly use the iPhone to text and stream Apple Music and for emails. I have about 200 photos and about 30GB of music in the cloud. I also use it for internet. Should I stick with the Pro. I am a light user compared to others.

Based on your usage, I feel like the regular 15 or 15 plus would probably be the right move for you. The regular 15 is a really solid phone so I'm sure you'd be happy with it. If you like the size of your pro max, then definitely go 15 plus. I'm pretty sure the 15 plus has the best battery life out of all the iPhones so that's a nice bonus.

For me, I love the higher refresh rate display and the telephoto camera a lot so I stick with the pro model.

Cite reasons for upgrade... Do you need to or do you just want to?

If you need to ask, I‘d say stick with your current phone until next year and see if it’s a more compelling upgrade.

Want. Plus my battery is at 85%. I am also curious about the new lenses. The larger phone is better for me b/c of vision. However it sometimes hurts my hand to hold.

You only have 200 photos though? I can understand being curious about the new lenses, but it's not something I'd buy if I'm not going to use it much. Stick with your current phone and consider getting the Plus model whenever you do upgrade. Or get the Pro Max if you want. Only you can decide what you want to do with your money.

Try the 15 Plus. It's lighter and still gives you the benefit of the larger screen.

Hi I ended up getting the 15 Pro. The Apple Store did not have any Max models. Also I was tired of having my hand hurt with my former 13 PM. So far the only issues are with 1PW.

I got 256GB 15 Pro

You may want to rethink your decision. Do you really need the Pro features?

If your main criterion is low weight and you don't need a larger display, 15 would be the best one for you.

Either way, congrats :)

New iPhones offer a "feature" to cap out battery (charge) at 80% (for presumably longer life), so you are 5% ahead of that. ;) Maybe stick with what you have until you are down to 50%-60%... or save $800-$1100 and have a new battery installed when you just can't stand it anymore?

Another suggestion: if that 30GB of music is your own (rips, purchases) on a Mac, sync that to your iPhone and cut that cloud usage. No need paying for cloud if you don't actually need it. Even if you chose a 64GB phone, you should have room for 30GB of music and 200 photos with plenty of room to spare.

And if you don't regularly listen to all 30GB but only a subset of favorites, make a few music playlists on your Mac and then sync those playlists to leave much of the 30GB on Mac and have only the music you actually like to hear with you.

The whole issue is a balancing act. One one hands the larger display would be good for my vision. On the other side, the larger display caused hand pain Arthritis. It was not the weight but the larger form factor.

Do you wear reading glasses or bifocals? You can always increase the magnification.

I wear bifocals and am nearsighted. It should work out ok. We did the transaction in two parts. First we purchased the phone. Then after it was all set up at the store, they processed a trade in after the fact. I assume it will take a few days for the trade in to appear since it was after the fact.

If you have the option of affording it, you will not regret the 15 PM for the next few years.

I think you’re making a side-grade to be honest. You trade battery life for marginal camera improvements and build quality. Especially the price you’ve to pay for a 15 PM. Why not consider a 15?

15 plus is way better for your use than the PM if youre looking for new phone, in fact it's better for most all users in reality.

I ended up with the 15 Pro. My hand really hurt with the larger size phones.
