if certified apple refurbished , yes they come with white plain box no accessories
but i think if one scam store in china or canada repair this phone and print new box we cant figure out refurbished

I think that what you meant by refurbished is fake. If you're looking to buy an iPhone in China I would be very careful and only buy from a trusted source.

No one can tell if it's a fake or not just by looking at the two images you posted. All I can tell you about them is that neither is refurbished.

And, you can't buy a refurbished iPhone directly from Apple. They use them to replace other iPhones under warranty.

The first character in the model number is the indicator, not the serial number.
what is the indicator ?
my iphone is refurbished ?

"F": refurbished unit (third party)

So yes, it looks like the one you think is a refurb is the refurb. The serial number begins with "F"
are you sure ?
my iphone is refurbished ?

Here's from the other thread:

  • "F": refurbished unit (third party)
  • "M": retail unit
  • "N": replacement unit (Apple)
  • "P": personalized (engraved) unit
So yes, it looks like the one you think is a refurb is the refurb. The serial number begins with "F". <insert joke here>
That applies to the model number (e.g. MKTQ2LL/A), not the serial number.

thank you my friends
i buy this one

What is the question?

Does it matter?

Refurbs are indistinguishable from new - unless you got this from Assurion.

Seems like it's new since according to selfsolve.apple.com, it's never been activated.

Do refurbished products even have a box? Usually referbs come in plain white boxes.

I could be wrong.

But they are clearly visible in the pic.

Why don't you ask the person you're buying them from? Why do you assume any of them are "refurbished"?

C

Refurbished iPhones have Model numbers that begin with the letter N. In this case, the Part number or Model number begins with an M so it's most likely new.

None, they're just two different boxes for two different markets. Refurbished iPhones come in a white plain box with no accessories.

They look to be different models though, one is A1579 and the other one is A1586. You should take a look at this link..

http://www.techwalls.com/differences-between-iphone-6-6-plus-models/

The first one is American model and its brand new not activated. It was bought on September 11 2015 from USA.

The second one is Austrian model and its also brand new not activated. It was bought on August 27, 2015.

No problemo brah.

Thanks for the imei and serial #!

Dang. My bad. :(

It doesn't look fake. They don't put it directly on the box. It's a sticker.

What do you want us to say? You have the boxes in hand. The pictures you've shown don't indicate anything is refurbished. If you think something shady is going on, don't buy them.

I just had my iPhone replaced with model NKUD2LL/A. (T-Mobile 6s Plus 128GB SG) It came in a small white plain box with phone only....was told it was brand new and NOT refurbished.

Phone is too new right now to even have refurbished models available yet.

The employees at the Apple store don't always know what they're talking about. In your case, they were probably correct because the 6s and 6s Plus are too new to have refurbished units available. In a few months though this may not be true.

In most cases the replacement units in the store may or may not contain refurbished parts. There really isn't any way to tell.

maybe my device is refurbished new iphone and china seller create new fake box like real package
maybe china seller repack refurbished iphone as original package and sell as new iphone

Why is this an emergency, or why is the OP making it out that way? Pleading for us to help you as it is life and death is not a good look.

It says "Apple Certified Pre-Owned" on the box... And type in the Serial Number in the Apple Support page to figure out your own warranty question.

What are you worried about? If you're so worried about it being refurbished or counterfeit, buy directly from Apple.
