Hello folks,

Does anyone know which is the Best credit card that covers your iPhone the most if lost or stolen?

And how much of a coverage does the specific credit card give you ??

Thanks in advance,

Why not just get carrier insurance. What's wrong with that?

Amex offers this, but only for 90 days from purchase for loss, theft or damage.
However, it also extends the standard warranty by 1 year.

AMEX I recall covers most items up to $1K for 90 days after purchase. Different AMEX cards have different rules though. I don’t have one but I think Chase Sapphire card might offer longer protection.

Wells Fargo covers theft (and damage).
You don’t even have to buy the phone with the credit card. Just have to use it to pay your cell phone bill.
$600 coverage with a $25 deductible.

Chase had a few cards that covered loss but I don’t think they’re available anymore to new customers. And the loss had to be within 120 days of purchase.

What is it like $10/mon? with the peace of mind that everything is covered with a deductible. No limit on cost of phone etc ....
$10 a month plus a $200 dollar deductible. That is outrageously expensive. Then you get a crappy refurbished model from Ausrion.

OP. Most credit cards offer 90 day theft/accident protector for free.

Hey, everything adds up over time!

I got insurance when I got my 6s. And then canceled it after 6 months.

Wasn't for me.

Just because a credit card claims to extend the warranty a year, that doesn't necessarily means that said benefit is a positive one.

1) The company may not use Apple certified technicians
2) The company may not use original parts for repair
3) Getting service done on your item may turn into a lengthy process of the company coming up with excuses as to why the repair is not covered, or will cost extra

All credit cards that I have (Chase Visa Signature, Discover and Amex) extend the warranty by a year via reimbursement. You go to Apple, they fix the device and you send the bill to the CC company. They don’t touch your phone.

It’s extremely straight forward. You just need the invoice to state it was a manufacturer defect.

How careless do people have to be to lose a phone? You have Find my iPhone as well. Hell, I’ve had iPhones for 10 years now and I have never once misplaced it.

For Discover, they will reimburse you for the repair. I had a weird case which they covered, I purchased an iPad Air with a trade-in of my original iPad. Target issued a prepaid Visa which I used for the purchase with the Discover for the balance. They initially rejected the claim because of the use of the Visa, I called and the covered the repair.

Edit: Up to $500.

I never "lose" my phone. It is either in my pocket or my hand. I don't sit it down on the table at restaurants. I don't let other people use it. It is also protected from theft by a Glock 22.

[doublepost=1536737528][/doublepost]Something to keep in mind with any credit card that covers stolen or lost items. You must file a Police Report as they will ask for a copy
