I love this keyboard! Works great.

I’m quite happy with the Logitech Slim Combo on my 10.5” iPad Pro. The backlighting is very helpful, and the keys feel good. My only complaints are that I often press on on/off switch by mistake when typing, and the iPad isn’t as securely held by the case as I’d like.

I use my old Magic Keyboard. It's great. It's not connected to the tablet itself and the majority of the time, I don't need a keyboard when using my iPad.

(I bought a numeric keyboard to use with my Mac.)

Sold it to pay for a new one—gambled on a September release.

Can I ask what your hoping for on new release over your 10.5" please?

I currently have a 10.5" 64Gb, still in warranty, and am tempted to buy a 10.5" 256Gb, same version just to have more for media etc.

I know it will be faster, rumours of 11" screen but I got this 10.5" as I thought was a decent upgrade size over my Air 2 which was 9.7" for not really physically much bigger device.

Thanks

I am 99% sure that Apple is going to change the screen size and chassis design with these new models and will delete the home button in favor of FaceID. Those three things are what I'm excited about, as I will now have feature parity between iPhone and iPad. I do not care about spec updates, as the 10.5" Pro was already a screamer in that regard.

As far as the design itself, the current iPad Pros still essentially look identical to the original iPad Air. I think they are overdue for a change, and this will help differentiate them even more from the standard model. I'm hoping this year's change will be a form factor they stick with for a while, as I'd like to stick with the same unit for more than one generation this time. It's been a little annoying to me that the smaller model Pros have each only lasted one generation before becoming discontinued/obsolete.

EDIT: I do have to add, I REALLY miss my 10.5" iPad Pro and Zagg Rugged Messenger case right now. I hope it ends up being worth the extra money I got from the sale. I didn't want to wait until the 10.5" was last year's model.

I use Apple’s BT Magic Keyboard so I can move the keyboard around or further back from the ipad when using. Plus it’s full desktop experience of typing. I also didn’t want bulk when out, if possible so I only use the Tech21 Impact Clear back with the Smart Cover. If I think I will need to type anything long while out I simply throw the Magic Keyboard in my bag along with the iPad Pro. The Tech21 impact clear back does have the pencil holder built-in.

At home, I use a Logitech dock (have to remove Smart Cover), along with the Apple BT Keyboard and this leaves the lightning port open if I need to charge the pencil, or use the Leef iBridge USB stick etc. (I have a 128 Gb Leef iBridge USB-Lightning stick which is awesome for sharing things with anyone else who doesn’t have air drop).

For external storage at home, I have a MediaShair2 media hub / travel router which has a USB port for connecting external storage. I have a 2TB portable drive attached and I use app called File Browser to access NAS (Network attached storage) devices, it also has an SD slot). The MediaShair2 also works portable via rechargeable battery which can charge the ipad or iPhone on the go.

So my entire setup is portable in an average 13” laptop bag or tote.

Great set-up, love it! I travel often (got rid of my 2017 MacBook Pro and haven’t looked back) so the Logitech Slim it is for me, but very cool.

I have a great dislike of cases, they add bulk and weight and cover up the design of the iPad. I only use smart covers, and although the backs are naked, they don’t get damaged, I don’t drag them across surfaces. The Logitech keys to go is so thin and light, adds no weight to my bag, and I have a lightweight plastic folding stand for the iPads.
Same here about cases. But I absolutely hate the camera bump. It drives me insane. So I have to put a back on all my Apple devices to level it out. I really wish we could buy models without a back camera or Apple would just get rid of the bump on the iPad.
