Which laptop?

I need an extra computer, just something cheap to play around with. It's a Windows laptop. No, don't kill me just yet, I do web design and programming. I need to make sure my code works on both OSes and I feel the need to have two laptops. Here are my options:

1. Used ThinkPad T42 ~ $250-$350
1. New Dell Mini 9 ~ Windows w/ Webcam which is about $450ish.

I'm leaning towards the ThinkPad, but it has an older processor. The Dell is newer and smaller (8.9" screen) and lighter.

I think I would get the dell for; newest, nicest, smallest and probably easier to resell (being newer and all). Have Fun.

I would get the T42 because of the higher rez. screen and the awesome keyboard.😀

^ yea this was what I was thinking, it is made by IBM and cheaper. any other ideas or thoughts?

Why not run Windows in Fusion or Parallels? Likely cheaper and easier since you'll have everything on one laptop.

^ that is what I'm trying to avoid. I hate putting all my eggs in one basket.
