Hi,
I am looking for a new mac set up to get. Money really isn't an issue, because I will spread out all the purchases over about 6 months. What I do on my computer is a lot of internet browsing, email, writing documents (not too many), keep track of finances; just the usual.
Which combo do you think would be best?
1. iMac (either 21.5" or 27"; not sure yet) and 15" MacBook Pro
2. iMac and 16 GB iPad (possibly 4G)
3. 15" MacBook Pro with an external monitor
4. iMac and 13" MacBook Air
5. Mac Mini with dual monitors and either an iPad/15" MacBook Pro/13" MacBook Air

Which option do you think would be the best?
Thanks

Computer (imac or macbook pro depending on whether you need it portable or not) and iPad is always the best combo.

No need for both desktop AND laptop in your situation.

i'd get the most powerful desktop which would be iMac and the iPad for mobile. Since you only do web surfing stuff you won't need any macbook vs iPad and you will have more portability with iPad. Get the iMac 27" vs mac mini with 2 displays because the 27" iMac will be 50 x more performance with the same screen real-estate as the mac mini with 2 displays (not that powerful graphics card for 2 huge displays). Macbook pro and air line would be mid performance and more bulky than the iPad for mobility.

iMac 27" + new iPad and you will be sweet.

PS you will get a lot more life out of an iMac, vs the mac mini in terms of performance.
