Which Mac Pro+Monitor?

Which Mac Pro and Monitor combination

For FCP, Maya, 3DS Max, Nuke. Edit, graphics and animation
Work.

6 core with budget Level monitor (upgrade later)

Or

4 core with Apple Cinema Display

My issue is can the quad deal with
3D graphical apps and FCP adequately

I would personally go with the upgraded Mac Pro. It's a lot easier to upgrade the monitor down the road than the Mac Pro. Depending on your budget, you might be able to get a good monitor for a decent price. Dell has some excellent IPS panel Ultrasharp monitors for some decent prices.

Get the better Mac Pro. Display you can always upgrade later on when you have more $ but upgrading Mac Pro is harder. Also, the display shouldn't affect the speed while CPU definitely will
